Whilst I'm generally a positive person, and like to look on the brighter side of life, and find the good in all people - there are some people out there that are just... idiotic!
There's one woman in particular, who is working at our organisation on a casual basis and when interviewing for a permanent position proceeded to list all of the things wrong with the organisation and in particular that "we" (as in management) tend to treat a particular group of people as, and I quote "Dogs".
Number 1- Lady - that is sooo not the way to go to get a foot in the door - did you not read How to interview 101 where it says - do not be a critical bitch of the business you're trying to get a job with! Daaaaah!
and Number 2 Never ever cry in an interview! It's just not a good look. That's right folks, she cried a total of three times during the interview process!
Then while this woman continues being utilised casually, she always rings us up telling us that our HR policies and practices are against the law! - I mean I'm open to being corrected, don't get me wrong, but when you ring up on a continuous basis and challenge our practices, and then when you are directed to the Department of Labour and they tell you that we're right, you would normally drop it right? But NO! This woman continues to do it and continues to be completely wrong!
She is beyond frustrating!5
The problem is that the manager of that particular arms doesn't mind her and thinks it's easier to get her when we need a casual than to train up another one, however she's even started complaining about her attitude!
Oh well all I can say is "thank goodness for casual employment contracts"
